My Ibanez JS1000 is a really versatile guitar that will take you many other places beyond JS land.

Cool tap-coil tones too.
Very nice guitar and i too find it suitable for jazz or blues. Its a pleasure to play sitting down, fits right into your body (for me anyway) jack is positioned very well for that too. Love the coil tap, low pass filter is less noticeable but since i added Evo\Evo2 pickups, just for a change, and i find my self baking off on the volume a little so i can use amp volume more and gain too but the coil tap for clean tones is very nice to have.

I've had three signature models:

Clapton Strat
Gary Moore Les Paul
DGT

They were all great, but the only one I have kept is my DGT. I love it!

The only signature guitar I own is a recently acquired Heritage H-150 Alex Skolnick signature model. So far I am really digging it.

Over in the OP! I too have the 1997 Joe Perry model and it is EVERYTHING I ever wanted in a guitar. Fat neck, heavy as **** and absolutely fills the room with sound.

For me, I've only own one. So it's the best by default.

The black Joe Perry Les Paul. Was interested because it was Joe signature model, but love it for it's thick jazz tone.
