Best: 2000 Man
Worst: You Can't Always Get What You Want
Best: Almost anything from "Exile.." I'll pick "lovin' Cup".
Worst: Under cover of the sell-out.
Best: Let it Loose or Midnight Rambler
Worst: I don't know. There's probably some bad ones in the 80s.
I'm surprised to see You Can't Always Get What You Want as considered the absolute worst ever.
For me, best is Satisfaction
Worst: I don't know, " Undercover" ?
Best : I’ll go with Gimme Shelter
Worst : Emotional Rescue
Best: Depends in the day and mood but "Can't Ya Hear Me Knockin'" or "Happy". Pretty much everything from "Beggars Banquet" to "Exile..." was solid. Hardly a bad track.
Worst: Conversely even the "best" songs on anything after "Tattoo You" (being generous) are horrible. And compared to their peak output, embarissng.
I would rather listen to nothing than anything after "Tattoo You" (I'm sure there's a random track that's good on some album, but I'm not going to sit through the dredge to find it.
Gimme Shelter or Monkey Man for my tops, Emotional Rescue is low on my list.
Best: that's tough, but "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" might be my favorite, forced to choose.
Worst: There's also some competition here, but I'm going with "Fool To Cry." You seriously think that's a better song than "You Can't Always Get What You Want"? No accounting for taste, I guess.
Best - Bitch, and Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’?
Worst - that movie, Shine A Light
Best: Star Star/Happy
Worst: Most everything after Tattoo You
Best: Get Off My Cloud
Worst: Under The Boardwalk
Sympathy for the devil
Ha, Emotional Rescue would be in my top 10
Best: Gimme Shelter
Worst: Saint of Me
I am torn between Last Time and Gimme Shelter. But there are many great songs - it is tough. A couple more. It's All Over Now, Honky Tonk Women, and Brown Sugar. My band plays all of the above and we love playing them. Us older folks think this is real music.
Satisfaction was and is a great song but I have played it so many times that it just does not muster the same enthusiasm as the others.
Best - Stray Cat Blues or Jumpin' Jack Flash. Worst - possibly Fool To Cry but I haven't listened to a new Stones album in 25 years or so.
Clearly none of you (so far) have listened to Bridges to Babylon. Some of the worst songs (ever) are on there.
Best: Midnight Rambler live.
Best: Hot Rocks + It's Only Rock and Roll.
Least favorite: Just about everything else.
Best: "Waiting For a Friend" sweet side of the Stones. Infectious.
Worst: live stuff
Best -Honky Tonk Woman
