Respect for your opinion, but I do not know how anyone could specifically dislike Dance The Night Away. I have seen that song make people smile, from toddlers to grandmas. Instantly uplifting and relatable. Mathematically, it is a perfect song.

I like "I'll Wait" better than "Jump", maybe due to the more minor resolution or the better vocal melody or better guitar solo or...although I do kinda hate the synth intro to the solo.

My fave is Unchained. I wasn't listening to this kind of music until a year or two after they split with DLR, so it was many years later that I first heard it.

The swagger in Unchained alone puts it at the top of the list. That takes some balls & songwriting skills to pull off a song with that title without being pretentious. Pure alchemy. Fair Warning was VH at their finest.

When I was growing up, I was pretty fixated on the earlier albums, so normally I would reference those ones, but in this case I decided to focus on the first songs that came to mind...

    Best:
    - Girl Gone Bad
    - House of Pain (just for the guitar solo alone)
    - I'll Wait
    - China Town

    Worst:
    - Can't Stop Lovin' You
    - All of Van Halen III

I was a huge Roth fan when I was a teen. I saw Fair Warning tour in Dallas Sept 1981 and I agree it is my fave VH record. At that concert we were 17th row on the floor in folding seats. EVERYONE was standing on the backs of the seats, how they didn’t fall down, I have no idea. I recall the crowd holding onto each other from row to row. I never saw anything like that before or since.

The closest I have come to a sensation like that Fair Warning concert was Faith No More, Brixton Academy, London, Album Of The Year tour. The whole place was singing every word (except the Barbie Girl cover), which was also magical:dude

See -- I don't understand haters of BBB ---- sure I get that the genre is not your bag, but it's a light hearted, and surprisingly sincere whimsical old-timey little jig that features (for the first time) 3 VH's on record officially giving VH a 3 generational profile. It's pleasant but off genre --- but worst? not by a long shot.

I remember someone on here making the case for Hagar by saying something to the effect that he would never do something like Big Bad Bill. He was right, and that is a huge part of the problem with Hagar.
