So I have the 64 Custom Shop Vibroverb with 1 15" speaker. I like the tone just fine but can't help tinkering, just 'cause I can. What speaker would go well with this amp? I'm a Stevie Ray/Kenny Wayne wanna be (hold the scorn please, it makes me happy to cop their style). Weber Michigan? Weber California? Eminence? Others?

JBL D130 all the way.

Check out this video which shows JBL's in both of his Vibroverbs:

For the first 0:49 his tone has almost a vocal quality to it.

For 'Collins Shuffle', the recording gets better at 3:16. A massive performance; check-out the chord-stab at 3:55.

My favorite player - pure, raw, undefiled *POWER!* :D

Since you mentioned Webers, I used to have a '64 VV RI. I replaced the stock speaker with a Weber 15F150. The description on the site says loud, big low end, smooth high end, aggressive, later breakup and more headroom than the Alnico version. This is a replacement for the Jensen C15N. In my amp it was all this and more. I liked this speaker so much that when I sold my VV I kept the speaker and put it in my '59 Pro and it sounded so much better with this speaker than the old, tired P15N that was in it. Of course I kept the P15N but have never been tempted to put it back in my Pro.

Went to put my JBL D130F in the VV last night and then remembered that I needed a different baffle (offset) so that it would fit.

So much sadness, LOL!

EV SRO 15 is the best. Jbl's get flabby especially if you like to hammer the bass strings on your guitar. That is why Ceasar Diaz switched out to the EV's. Plus the fact that SRV kept blowing the JBL's
