I know this topic has been covered countless times but I'm looking for something specific, that being a single coil sized humbucker pickup for a Strat that best emulates a classic PAF.
I'm NOT looking for super distortion, hyper-saturated sound. Someone suggested the Lace Sensor but I'd like to get other suggestions if possible.

my favorite all time single coil size hb is the DiMarzio Air Norton S. It's not a burner, gets all the classic humbucking tones, and balances very well with single coils

SD Lil 59 is not bad, but a little hotter than what you are suggesting. I'd seriously check those Dimarzio Air's out. They weren't out when I put the Lil 59 in my strat.

By the way, don't want my post to imply that I'm against the Lace Sensor pu's, I don't have any personal experience with any of the HB offerings for Stratocaster except for the high gain DiMarzio's of the 90's; found them to be hot but dark sounding.
Not trying to avoid 'hot' necessarily, just 'dark'.

I like the tone of the SD lil 59.

also the JB jr for strat. I recently saw one used for $60, I bought it and put in the bridge position of my friends US strat. He LOVED the results.

What would the equivilant Duncan pu be to the Tone Zone S ?

I've often wondered- why hasn't someone designed a humbucking pu which not only fits in the size of a Strat single coil but looks exactly like a single coil pu ?
This would allow those who want to have the benefits of a humbucker w/o altering the classic configuration of their Strat.
