Any recommendations? I'm looking for something to boost the top end on my Orange Rocker 30 without compressing the signal.

Homebrew Electronics (HBE) is great and reasonably priced. Regular version is around $100, $20 more for the OC44 version.

I will third the HBE germ 44. love it. stacks well. with a lot of useful tones. I picked one up here for $50. def can get them used for under $75. I have a half dozen HBE pedals and they are all great builds.

At $130, I've recently become a fan of the Fulltone Fat-Boost (latest version. 3 i think). To me, it gives a nice SHO kind of clarity to your tone, but you can adjust how much drive you want via a separate knob. The separate treble and bass knobs are what makes it a treble boost (or other type of boost if you wish) and they were what really sold me on this thing. I actually chose it over a $220 Diaz Texas Ranger because I had more control over the shape of my tone. It does add a nice touch of compression as well, which I love, but it's not selectable on/off. I know Fulltone takes some knock around here, but I really feel this is one pedal Mike can be proud of.

The best thing I ever bought was a ProAnalog Top Boost. I got lucky though and bought it used off ebay for $112. That is a unbelievable deal as they go for much more usually.

Dude its $175 new but get an Analogman Beano Boost - its point to point and if I lost my D*A*M Red Rooster I'd get the Beano Boost. Plus Mike is tops.

from what I have tried in that price range, the Phoenix Ranger (ge) and the Phoenix Tonemaster (si) are both very good

just a little above that price range, analogman's beano also is very good

lots of good ones out there, you really need to just try some and see which flavor you like best

You might find it used for this price. Diaz Texas Ranger. Zvex SHO is a nice transparent and loud boost. FWIW, I preferred the Ranger over the Retroman Beano and the Analogman. I just feel like the Ranger has the mojo. Maybe I just have a really good one.
