I have an MI Audio Blues Pro but it puts out to much bass.

What is the most accurate true bypass clone?

Get a Maxon OD-9. It's basically a true bypass Tubescreamer and is reasonably priced($130ish).

Yeah man I heard of a really cool Tube Screamer-type pedal...............It's called a Tube screamer and it's by this company called Ibanez. It's only $39.95.

Can you imagine if someone came across this pedal and it wasn't a Tube Screamer? EVERYONE would be raving about it here. "Awwww man I found thee best pedal and it's only $39.95!!!! I mean it's not true bypass but........."

True bypass, schmu-bypass. C'mon guys stop throwing your money away on stuff that has little or nothing to do with great tone, only to buy it again when you read a favorable review here.

    Hendrix never used Monster cable.

Love the note on Jimi. I always forget about the Tone Loc series TS. I dig the 'hot' mode on that.

Well I enjoy the homebrew power screamer. It has everything. With the three way toggle it sounds like a ts 808 but with more mids and bass (position 1), the same but with extra overdrive (middle position), and a fat sound with some compression (right position). Also count in the fat boost switch and you have a variety of sounds at hand.

I like and use an Ibanez TS-808 re-issue.

Has a bit more "hair" than the -9 and was the best for me/my rig that I tried, and I tried a ton!

dude, just build your own from www.buildyourownclone.com!

it's cheaper, funner (cause you build it yoruself), you can do mods to it (to make it sound like any of the other ones), and sounds unbelieveable!

    trust me! take the plunge!

The Keeley ts-9 is really a nice pedal.

A high end alternative: Landgraff DO (made me sell my Keeley).

Actually, the new Ibanez TS-9s, kind of suck, and they are NOT like the old ones.

However. Analogman has a mod that makes it original, and his silver mod is great, too.

The standard new Maxon OD-9 is also very good, and now it has true bypass as well.
