Sampling and using other people's work continues to be the hip to do....

Thank god no rock artist ever copped someone else's riff or lick or ever recycled some lyrics.

I don't think Sir Paul or Dave use it either

What I'd give to see Freddy Mercury walk out there and sing Bohemian Rhapsody. Cause it would be real and damn good. Unlike most of tonight's show.

That girl that won all the awards tonight is, however, fabulous.

    Of the ones I saw:

    Bruce - nope.
    Alicia Keyes/Bonnie Raitt - nope.
    Foo Fighters - nope.
    Jennifer Hudson - nope.
    The Civil Wars - nope.
    Kelly Clarkson - nope.
    Sir Paul - nope.

The rappers, pop-tarts and some of the nu-country artists were all singing to tracks/heavily AT'd, but that's pretty much expected, nowadays.

The Beach Boys sounded pretty good also. They didn't sound like they were using Auto Tune.

Beach Boys. It was cool to see Brian but I think they were lip-synching but that was OK for me because it was nice to see them all again. I could be wrong as I've been wrong before but it crossed my mind that they were not singing.

It was amazing to see Brian up there, considering all the stuff he went through!

Ya, as I noted in the other thread, I was surprised to hear what sounded like a lot of performers singing with no A.T.

There were a lot of singers on stage with the Beach Boys including most, if not all, of Brian's band. It's possible that certain people were up higher in the mix than those that the camera was focusing on.

Jennifer Hudson, probably the best in that whole damn arena (except for Stevie).
