    in my opinion:

    best value: avatar

best sound: dr z 2x12 (zbest)

i sold my bogner 4x12 when i got the zbest 2x12. there was no comparison. i called a friend of mine to come over and listen because i thought that there was something wrong with my ears. the clarity was the biggest difference. the bass and mids were strong and well defined....very uncompressed and huge sounding. the high end was smooth and not ice-picky. the weird thing was that the bogner 4x12 was the best 4x12 i'd ever played. anyway, i could not be happier with the zbest 2x12.

you really can't go wrong with an avatar 2x12 or 4x12. the sound is excellent and the construction is top notch. the price is a steal for what you get.

Pete Best was a drummer, IIRC, and I don't think he ever used cabinets. I believe he was removed from the band before they got to the level of running the drums through a PA.

    HTH.

I just got this, but don't have an amp for it yet :( I did a lot of reading and had narrowed it down to StoneAge and Emperor. I love the look and build of the Electric Amp Innovations cabs, but they're too expensive @ $810 for a 2x12 loaded and shipped. Got the stoneage used off the emporium with G-1265 heritage's for $670 shipped.

"Mongotone", hands down. Check the website.
    After years of trying Everything else, I ordered a 4 X 10, & a 2 X 12, which I've used with Fuchs /Fender /Vox / & Marshall amps. Not just looks, an Awsome projection.
