I've got a set of Brian's Vintage 60's and am tempted to try them in my USA '62RI Strat. They would be replacing the stock 57/62's. Should I go for it?

Anyone have experience with this set?

I put a set in an alder/maple Strat and sent it to a friend...he loves the guitar.

I put a custom wound set in a pine/maple Strat for myself and they sound great.

You already have the pickups...you have nothing to lose by trying it.

    Good luck.

Thanks, gk. You're right, they're just sitting here waiting. :)

I feel like Peenut Guy. Installed them last night but the middle pickup was dead. I'm waiting to hear from Brian, but I hope to get a replacement soon.

From the readings, I'll bet they're great sounding pups.

I sent you an email concerning your pickup.
I stand behind every pickup I make so no need to worry.

A simple adjustment on the pickup suggested by Brian and we're back in business. The Middle pickup is working fine.

I just spent some time with them going over some classic Strat tunes and the tone is there. Stronger output over the 57/62's, yet retaining really nice vintage character.

I'd feel confident in ordering from BD Pups again.

Bryan makes some stunning pickups. I've had the Vintage '60s in my Strat and the PUF's in an Edwards Les Paul... unfortunately I had to sell the guitars.

The Vintage '60s would be my choice of pickups if I had a Strat... they're really good. And Bryan is a great guy to deal with :)

My bud has a Hellabucker set in his Gibson LP Classic.
The 500t was nice but the BG just sounds more dimensional and articulate.
He says he favors them over the Anderson's in his LP Studio as well.

Brian seems to have specials on his website which is pretty cool also.

Btw, I really love these Vintage 60's in my '62 reissue.
