Infinity is the Nothingness that the Universe is expanding into.Nothingness doesn't occupy anything - it just exist. Regarding Consciousness - with our current tools and information - it's impossible
to determine with confidence the consciousness of anything - through observational Data we can theorize that something might have consciousness. Regarding Time and Space. Structural time (like our
clocks and calendars) is a man made construct. At the core of the universe Time doesn't exist - distance does - and even that thought is not provable unless we limit the measuring device to look at only
things that exist in a small amount of space - like us folks. However if we were the Universe there would be no distance to measure - since we would occupy all of space simultaneously and conversely
time wouldn't exist in our realm either - since there isn't any distance to measure. That does make me curious why Spiritual figures are thought of as the Alpha and Omega - which implies that they have a
beginning and end - which is a man made construct.

BTW I got that from a Book written by Proton.

So, Andromeda and our galaxy are getting closer together? Encouraging.

So, there’s an edge? What if you were in a spacecraft accelerating towards that edge faster than the expansion. What would you be flying into?

If you melt dry ice, what do you get?

If you are traveling at the speed of light and you turn on your headlights, what happens?

I'm addicted to placebos. I’d give them up, but it wouldn’t make any difference.

It will end up in his butt, which does not bode well for the universe, but it probably reflects one of the multiverse/cyclical theories of the big bang repeating itself over and over after each collapse.

Yes, that was quite a stretch. [pun intended]

Yeah, apparently we are all going to die in 4.5 billion years when it collides with the Milky Way. Guess I better get that Les Paul I've been putting off.

The universe is expanding because its total volume is increasing over time.

As for what it's expanding into, the question is a non-sequiter. It's not expanding into anything.

That's the Western scientific view of the situation. There are other possible ones (for example, from the Talmud's authors' perspective, what science views today as an expansion is deemed a contraction).

Not a question, but just a cool thing to know:
We will all end up back in the elements of the earth/universe, our bodies will eventually disintegrate and be absorbed back into the earth, air, water, and we will be part of living plants, animals, people after we shuffle off this mortal coil.
