Biggest star with lowest gear

What's the biggest name you've seen with the lowest shelf
gear? Like seeing Hetfield with a Squier. Or John Mayer with a Fender Champ.

I think the most I've seen is Shinedown Myers play his signature PRS SE, although who knows if it was modded (he says it's not)...

Bonus points if it's on a studio album, but live counts.

Joan Jett played a Gibson Melody Maker (cheap at the time)

Gary Clark Jr played an Epiphone Casino (the modern Chinese ones not the John Lennon ones) until he got an SG

Kurt Cobain and so many of the indie guys started on Fender offsets like the Jaguar and Jazzmasters in the late 80s because they were cheap back then

Cory Wong played (and still plays?) his Fender Highway 1 strat - basically an entry-ish level MIA strat at the time, and which Fender recently did a signature based on it and charged double for what was essentially a basic production line strat years prior

Mustaine = always played through Marshall’s never upgraded to Mesa or Diesel and higher end stuff like Metallica. Never used pedals. Used Jackson guitars then got sposnsored by Dean .. Dean always seemed cheap to me, not bad for money but to me felt like affordable working man’s guitar.

Dimebag= used some pedals, but not too crazy wah and wammy. Also Dean. Used Randall amps .. think it was solid state.

Both incredible guitarists who weren’t too overly concerned w gear and to me I feel showed it was more a matter of ur finger than ur gear.

Steely Dan co-founder and Doobie Brother mainstay (not to mention national defense consultant) and all around studio ace Jeff 'Skunk' Baxter rocks a Mexican made 'Roland Ready' Strat as his main axe on his recent release 'Speed of Heat'.

Last Jimmie Vaughan rig rundown says he tours with his Mexican Signature Strat. Kingfish Ingram plays a Peavey Delta Blues (or did at least). I've seen Bernard Allison play live with a Squier Strat and a Tribute SG. Jeff Healey played a Squier Strat.

From what I understand, Cory's sig has a smaller body and a larger headstock. Not quite the same as an off the shelf strat.
