The good part about this bit is that the edge would laugh as part of the audience as well. From all I've ever heard from him, that's what I think would happen... a good laugh of it all.

It's strange, but even though I can play/improv and have a more guitar oriented approach to playing (Edge has more of what I would consider a keyboard approach to sound with the guitar as a controller), I still really dig what he does with so little. It's odd to mock it because he creates some really moving soundscapes to accompany Bono. Some of the stuff is really fun to play too like Pride with a Voxy amp and a TTE.

Bailey's not trying to say U2 sucks, only that that they rely a lot on effects; he has a dark and quirky sense of humor. He mocks a lot of musicians, many of which he really likes:

I love the one where he makes fun of Michael Bolton. Also, the one where he does Cockney versions of songs like "Eye of the Tiger". Hilarious.
