Too hot of a TGP topic not to post. What say you all? Color me impressed. She put her spin on it, and it was totally fitting.

I didn't notice a "spin", she sang the song as it was written.

A good fit for the In Memoriam segment; quiet, somber, devoid of Star Search vocal histrionics.

I loved the camera pan on her when Eminem was performing Lose Yourself.

Was she even alive when that song came out?

Like the Beatles not understood by some parts of an older generation who feel out of the loop and have their ears in the rear view mirror.

I really liked it. Saw the recent ACL episode with her and it was really good.

Obviously she can sing, but I'm not sure that was the best song choice for her. She seemed quite timid in her vocal performance. Over all, it makes me very interested to see how her career progresses, as this seems like a "coming out" moment for her as a vocalist. I'm eager to hear what else she can do outside of a pop vocal scenario now.

I just checked it out on YT and I agree. She set the appropriate mood.

I don’t know much of Billie Eilish’s material. But, from what I have heard, she can really sing well. She could have showed off but chose somber and understated. She nailed the emotion of the moment IMO.

    Timid?

I don't think that was a timid performance at all.

Reserved and somber, sure, but not timid.

I'm a big fan, didn't like it much. She can do way better. Felt like she was trying to sing like anyone else would as opposed to doing her thing. She's brilliant though.
