I find The ME50 to be chock full of awesome. I should mention that I also own 45 pedals to apply when I want a pure version of something. However the ME50 does some stuff that my pedals won't. Ring Mod w expression pedal + square wave fuzz comes to mind.

Last night I was having a blast with the following: I set the exp pedal to 1 oct down, and dump it all the way down. Then use the Mod sections Harmonizer, and set it to 1 oct up, w the blend/mix at 100%.

What you get is a terrible crushed version of your guitar tone. Chords will track, though crappily. You get all the warbly, garbly sounds of playing chords through a whammy except at standard pitch. Plus there is a giant lag which ends up sounding like a lo fi slapback. Add overdrive and you get awesome terrible crushed tones that are an excellent contrast to actual-good-sounding guitar tones on recordings.

Thoughts, opinions and questions all welcome. Thanks for reading :)

good call. I imagine you will experience less lag.
