I didn't need anything. I didn't want anything. I didn't buy anything. After a while I realize all the gear I've tried and all the gear I own all sound the same. They all sound like me.

I agree, but still -- sometimes there are deals that at least provide a "Hmmmm" moment. Recent non-BF example might be those Quilter amps on MF's STDOD, or a couple years ago blowing out Vox AC-15's for $399, or....

I need some things, but every BF/CM coupon code I had didn't work for those brands. I don't really need that stuff in hand until mid-January, so I'll just watch Reverb for used/make offer opportunities. My Sweetwater rep emailed to say he would try to cut deals, but I feel weird asking for 10% off $300 worth of crap there. Somehow, it doesn't bother me with MF/GC...

I didn’t see any good deals on stuff I wanted or didn’t want, so I just bought a few normal priced pedals instead!

I only bought a couple of software items...nothing more.
I saw way too many BF/CM "deals" this year that amounted to nothing more than like 10% off...
...and bigger deals were for crap. o_O

You'd better be careful, this is the adult, mature part of you coming out of somewhere inside your mind to force you into making wise decisions. This part of your character lacks fun, spirit and impulsive behavior. Your wife would approve, but not your mistress. Your preacher would smile, but your children would worry that your wallet is showing signs of reluctant spending, which they instinctively know will impact them too.

I want another guitar. I look at them all the time. I was very tempted by an attractively priced Goodall today. I wanted so badly to put it in my cart and let the endorphins and dopamine tickle the pleasure centers of my brain. But the crabby old owl that lurks back in my brain, who is well aware of the status of my finances and upcoming expenses, shot everyone else dead and got the final say.

    Same boat.
There is nothing that I really, really want.
The things that I kinda want are a bit too expensive for me at the moment, with or without discount.
There weren't any discounts on anything I'm even remotely interested in.
I'm certainly not buying anything that I don't really want just because it's cheap. I did that when I was younger, but at some point I realized it's a really bad idea.

I didn't buy anything as I realized I barely use the stuff I bought years ago. Less is more and all that...

So true - I have impulse buys from previous Black Friday sales,
that I haven't even used yet.

I've gotten to the point where 15-20% off is just another day. If you can stand the BS Rogue or Pro-Audio Star does that every day of the year. So, I basically only jump on 50% off. This year that was the Brent Hinds amp and a D'Angelico guitar with TV Jones pickups. Although I admit to being mightily tempted by the Alexander scratch and dent and the Mr. Black Black sale. In fact, it almost makes me wish I didn't have a Deluxe Deluxe +, so I could buy a Mr. Black Black Friday Deluxe Deluxe Plus pedal!

I think it comes today. I've got a Randall mini-Amp and a Mesa for metal type tones, I'll be interested to see how this compares...

Same. First year in years that I didn’t buy a pedal.
