Black Hardware, Your Thoughts?

Anymore, black anything is just "me too". I am continually amazed by the number of black items in the used market.

Agreed. I'm surprised by the number of absolutists on his thread. I've seen beautiful guitars with all colors of hardware.

Some years ago I had an all-black Strat: the entire neck/headstock was black, the body was black, it had a black pickguard and all black hardware except for a few pieces (whammy arm, screws) that were chrome. It was a pretty axe, but not really what I wanted.

My other guitars have had nickle, chrome or gold, until I bought a Carvin SH550 last week with a cedar top, antique yellow stain top, and a Bigsby, with black knobs, tuners and pickups. I don't think it looks bad, although, had the Bigsby been black, I might have objected.

Any color that's integrated into the look of the instrument is good, in my opinion.

Here is a guitar we make for a different company. I ended up making one for myself and ended up trading Gary @ Glaswerks for his Zingaro model (great amp) for this guitar. Dave Manicetti from Y&T plays one of these.
