I'm about to pull the trigger on a late '68 Bassman with the AC568 circuit. It's in great shape and a decent deal so I figured I'd pick it up, see how it sounds, and reserve the possibility of blackfacing it. I do all my own guitar wiring/mods, have worked on some pedals, but never poked around inside an amp before. (Yes I know about the possibility of death, thanks.) Just wondering how involved of a project this would be if I end up getting the amp and deciding to do it.

I can read schematics and layouts, have a friend who builds amps to help me out if needed, and a great tech right down the street if everything else fails. But I just want to see what I would be getting into, as this will factor in my decision on whether to buy the amp in the first place.

    Thanks
