Blackheart Handsome Devil - Cab question

I'm going to buy one, and I had planned buying the combo version. The head/cab version is only a little more expensive, but I can buy it with a Laney GS212IE - 2x12" cabinet for only a little more again. Is it worth it? What would you do?

I'd grab the head and the Laney 2-12 personally, as long as the 2-12 has decent speakers in it. That way you have a head you can use w/a different bottom if/when you get one, and you can use the bottom w/a different head if/when you get one; more flexibility.

I have the BH15H, and it's a great little piece of gear, and *very* well made. It's become the victim of my latest modding project tho.... Out w/the PCB, in with the turret board. It's actually an awesome project platform when you tired of it!

The Laney cab has Celestion Seventy 80's and the combo has "12" Blackheart Model 1216A Speaker by Eminence with American Voicing, optimized for open back cabinet" whatever that is. I know that I like the sound of the combo in my home, but I haven't tried it in a band. I know thomann sells a cheap 2x12 cabinet with V30s, harley benton I think, what do you think about that? Cab or combo?
