    Anyone swapped te stock 12Bh7A to other , without biaisng ?

    Yes
    The HT5H does not need biaising.

    I have - no bias needed. I did that about a year before I sold the head. Never an issue.

    Why you change the power tube ?
    And which producer you chosen ? TAD , EHX or maybe NOS ?

    This is a good question. I did it as I seem to change everything because it is there. I noticed no difference in sound.

    But amp played ok ? without problems ?

    And which tube you put in ? EHX , TAD etc ... ?
    (the stock 12BH7A tube in my amp is EHX)

    I sold the amp long ago now. I do not recall. The amp was fine. Why would it not be fine?

    Swapped power tube without biasing

    I've had a Blackstar HT-5 head for about 9 months....

    I swapped the tubes out for some NOS tubes.... a Telefunken replacing the 12AX7 and an RCA 12Bh7 replacing the stock tube...

    Everything sounds great... the Telefunken adds what I would call a "depth" to the sound... almost an airy quality....

    You don't need to bias anything...

    All clear.

    Can you noticed the change in sound when you swapped stock 12Bh7A to these RCA ?
