Check out this recent video of the Bludotone Mordecai:

First off, Mitch Farber's playing is always great. The amp sound great (both clean and dirty). I am not familiar with this amp. Is it a new design from Brandon? It almost seems to be a cross between a Bludodrive and a High Plains Drifter. Did anyone try this amp out at the recent LA amp show?

Look forward to hearing/seeing more of this amp. I've talked to Brandon about this model and it's suppose to be in the "vibe" of a HPD, but in a smaller package. It sounded superb!

I agree Xray the second clip had more upper harmonic content- I like it better also.

I believe this is the amp Brandon was telling me about when we were going over my Drifter. I almost went for it instead. It's a lower power Drifter type. He said the Hi/Lo filter section was "hardwired in" to a fixed position with the combination that most players seem to like.

Brandon if you see this thread: I should have asked you what positions are they?

The clip sounds good. Hopefully Brandon will have some time to update the website with these new models.

I actually have TWO build spots reserved for August of this year. I'm thinking one amp will be any Ojai. I was originally thinking HPD for the other, but I just can't bring myself to lugging around an amp that is that heavy. I am intrigued with both the Mordecai and the Universal (since they are different than the Ojai). Hopefully, I can make it out to the NYC amp show in June and see/try them first hand.

It's like a smaller version of the Hi-Plains Drifter, so 100 watts vs. the 150 watts on the HPD.

Very interested in Bludotones - based on the many clips I've listened to and reviews.

Are these going to be available to check out at the LA Amp show this upcoming fall?

Brandon is usually at the LA show. He's typically at NYC too in June. That's the one I am shooting for.

From what I understand, this amp is also 4x6l6 based in the power section.

Here is my Mordecai that arrived Friday...it is really amazing and exceeded my expectations even knowing it was going to be the little brother to my Drifter. The videos are ones that Brandon recorded before he shipped it. More clips coming for sure of this amp, it plays like a dream and fits perfectly with single coils. Mine is 100 watts and 4x6L6.

WOW, that is killer! I have decided to get one too. I have 2 slots in August. I decided to get an Ojai and a Mordecai. The clincher was hearing the clips of Greg on your amp -- just amazing!

I just need to decide if I want 100 watt (4 x 6L6) or 50 watt (4 x 6v6). I may need to call you to get your opinion on yours.
