    anyone familiar with these?

back in the day, Fender apparently commissioned Eminence(?) or one of the manuf to make a righteous vintage speaker ...

a friend has 4-10's of these, and i need some background/history/price thoughts

assuming cones are fine...and a righteous re-cone may not be really that bad a thing anyway.

    everybody in the pool!

    thanks

Not sure what you mean by back in the day. Emminence has made a variety of Alniclo 10s over the years. They are good speakers. Do you have any info on them, i.e. year or model?

i will try to look into it; and thanks.

guess i was under impression they were a copy of some special Jensen...

my bud has a 61 Tremolux head and 1-10 cab for sale...

and he has a 4-10 cab (not Fender cab) but with these Fender Bluebacks...apparently from the early 80's or prior.

    will get back

They did make some decent 10 inch alnicos in the 80s, but they aren't really a copy of the early Jensen's. They are made different and sound different. Not better or worse, just different.
