Now that is sad. He was such a visionary, and just starting to experience the sort of fame that he was due for his contributions to modern music!

I just got back from taking one of his daughter's best friends to the airport. She has been asked to speak at the memorial on Wednesday.

It's really, really hard on her after growing up around him and his family. She was actually one of the few kids who painted his old Toyota with the vines, frogs and a snail on his drivers door.

She's been spending a lot of weekends down there in the past few months...from the stories she told me, Bob is better off.

    RIP Bob.

    Sad times.
