Why oh WHY can't they demo one of these through a completely clean amp???
This is why I quit watching GMD's demos - they're always through a slightly dirty amp, so I don't how much of what I'm hearing is coming from the pedal.
I love the sound of the Bogner Blue, still a bit pricey for me, though.

100% agreed.

Although it is a very high quality demo, I think the sounds from it expresses more hair and fuzziness in the Blue pedal than the actual Blue CH on the amp has - Is that inherent in the pedal or is it because it's slamming an already overdriven amp?

I owned a 101B and I remember the Blue CH sounding very smooth with not that much fuzziness unless I cranked the presence and treble all the way up.

The pedal is totally feature-packed. I look forward to these pedals hitting the streets and hearing more demos into clean amps.

Well that demo was a bit of a blast from the past Irwin Thomas in a previous life was known as Jack Johnson, vocalist and guitarist for Aussie band Southern Sons from the 90s.

I'm have not had gas for about 18 months, this pedal changes that!

The audio is so processed that it makes the pedal very difficult to judge. Im sure it won't sound like that in your amp.

uhhh, @1:43, @2:23, @3:04, @4:12, @4:44, @5:37, @6:36, @7:37, and @8:24....



....all completely clean amp sounds before the pedals are engaged!
a blackface deluxe, 50w marshall, duende, and goldfinger.
plus, not sure if you've ever slapped an open chord with a lead position gibson humbucker(in this case from an SG) into pretty much any amp, even set on totally clean, they all do what happens(tiny bit of speaker "hair") in the video in the initial post @2:45, especially with a mic shoved right up into the speaker. besides, you actually get to hear the totally clean sound of the silverface fender amp throughout the entire video played with a tele in the beginning, background, and end.

anyways, we all know that audio/video demos are just that, a demo of one person with some gear that's not ours, using their hands, controls, mics, etc....if ya dig the sounds they're making, check out the pedals further, if not, so be it and simply move on?! lol

fwiw, i did some of the final beta testing on these pedals for Reinhold, through COMPLETELY clean amps...and in my opinion, they all really sound great and do exactly what they are suppose to...monster amp tones!
if and when you try these in person, y'all shall see!

and the ONLY way to TRULY judge ANY piece of gear is to try it for yourself in person, yeah?
