Headed out to the venue now. Not completely familiar with him/his material so I've been watching videos and reading reviews. Reviews here are pretty polarized. No better way to find out than to catch him myself! Saw my friend Dan, the owner of the local music/vintage shop at the box office, he said Joe came in and picked up a 60's fuzz face and a small Gibson 1x12 combo yesterday.

Full review upon return. :beer

Yeah Dan of Dan's guitars! Just got here, kinda getting exited. Tried to get in touch with Joe via email to offer my Bludo HPD (EJ's SSS) to no avail. Dan said he usually rents Marshall DSL's, we'll see tonight!

You lucky son of a gun. Joe is a great musician imho. I'm seeing him again in Vegas on 4/20.

Eli, how could anyone ever hate living on Kauai? Probably the most beautiful place on earth. However, I did see Hendrix at the HIC back in '68 so there are advantages to big city life.

Maybe hate is too strong a word. The only disadvantages to living outer-island is shopping selection/availability (clothing, GUITARS, etc.) and that big name artists don't come out here too often. Oh and the cost of living is a bit high.

Saw him at the Palais Theatre (Melbourne) last Thursday night. Second row seats. A great show by a great band!! Loved every single minute of it.

With the now decades long dearth of rock/blues shows still trying to make life miserable in Hawaii, I'd expect this show to have been a sellout, did it? There was no way I was gonna spend $70 for Joe, but wouldn't mind seeing him sit in somewhere, anybody hear of him jamming afterwards? When asked what he was going to do after the tour's finale in Hawaii, he said, "Nothing.".

I saw him in Adelaide last week. Front row, centre! :D I even caught one of Tal's drumsticks when he threw it into the crowd after his drum solo...

Joe certainly puts on a great show. I think it was better than his show last year. Love the way he started with an acoustic set then brought the band on later. House was sold out (again).

Sadly though, he said it would be a few years before he makes it back to Australia again...
