Wondering if anyone has put these two against each other to see how they compare in terms of sound, versatility and gain range. I currently have a GC and its been amazing on different amps. Been looking at Del Mar for a while. I have a Sick As and love it so Bondi is on my radar. Chime in if you have some info.

I have them both. What specifically would you like compared, and through what kinds of guitars / amps?

Gain range? Which can do higher? Voicings... Are they similar?
Types of compression? Is one more open than the other? Guitar - humbucker into british voiced amp? Also could the del mar be a standalone medium drive pedal? I use my GC as my main OD... But wondering id Del Mar is more versatile?

also very interested in this as these both happen to be number one contenders for the gain spot on my board.

mostly interested to know which can get higher gain as well as which retains a tighter lower end.

The most generic guitar with humbuckers I have is a Peavy Wolfgang - stock.

The most British voiced amp I have is a Vox AC15HW - stock.

Sitting in the room with them, the Barber has more settings -- versatility! -- but I also like the separate bass and treble controls on the Bondi. Gain and voicing is about equivalent.

Oops: I saw afterwards I had a compressor on -- hope that doesn't screw the pooch for you guys.

thanks for taking the time to make that; much appreciated.
can't decide- thinking slight edge goes to the gain changer.

I hope nobody got whacked by my frequently calling the bridge pickup the "neck" pickup.

after much deliberation i bought a del mar and received it today. after spending a few hours with it, i'll say it's got far less gain than i was expecting-- some of the demos made it sound significantly higher gain--, but it's now filling a spot in my sonic arsenal that i didn't think needed filling; the transparent/sharp mid-gain spot.
it's got a cool clarity to it than- for a ts/bb-based pedal- i didn't expect. i'm now still on the search for a higher gain od and am thinking the del mar into a gain changer might yield a great heavy sound. ep boost into those two to further it. thoughts?

I run a Del Mar into a Barber DD/DC and it kills. Bondi and Barber are a great pairing.
