    Hi,

    Just after some advice.

I'm thinking of using an FV500H to use as a global volume pedal on my GT100 (using the built in for expression only).

    What's the best placement?

    Is it :

    Guitar > FV500H > GT-100 input > Amp/PA

Do I need to make any global change on the GT-100?

In this config I presume I can still use my FS6 in the SUB CTL jack for other assigns?

    Thanks!

I'd put it in the GT-100's loop, because that gives you the most flexibility, because the volume pedal will sound different before or after the preamp.

Yes, you can continue to use your FS-6.

Not sure you'd need to make any global changes.

    Peace,

I'd put it in the loop of the GT-100, so:

GT-100 Send > Volume Pedal In
Volume Pedal Out > GT-100 Return

From there you can move the Loop (S/R) anywhere you'd like in the effects chain.

    Peace,

The only problem is the FV500H is a high impedance type, where after the guitar is where it is electronically suited to go, the GT-100 loop and output are low impedance which may cause issues with pedal linearity.
Try it and see if it works, or you might need the FV500L

Use the on-board pedal for volume and the FV for expression via the exp jack. Why route audio off the board? Also your high-Z pedal will work fine this way.
