Looking to get a tone that is best described as 'raw' and 'dry.' Similar to the 'brown' sound, but something more edgy. Been fooling around with my Boss GT-Pro and can't quite seem to dial it in. Perhaps the guitar's pickups and the amp you play through as just as important, but with the pre-amps and amp simulators in this unit, along with all the effects, there must be setting out there that come close. Any help appreciated.

It's up there, but no responses yet. Let me ask this... forget about the effects unit I have. Does anyone use a very dry, brown sound? Something that sounds very raw? What amp do you use and it's settings... what pedals do you use and their settings? This will help narrow it and I can then do my settings. Again, I'm close, but there's something a bit thick that I can't quite EQ, and it may be the settings I'm using, or the amp/speaker selection.
