I'll probably sell my Kat50 and grab a 100mk2. The power amp in and added controls is worth it.
I've said it many times. The Katana is the best gig amp I've ever owned and I have owned over 100 amps in my life.
Kat100 mk2 ordered from Sam Ash.. That didn't take long
Thanks for this. I ended up uninstalling drivers and reinstalling. Works now. But your stereo video was great. Something I didn't think of doing. I am using my mk1 now for stereo. Was gonna sell it but I am probably gonna keep it for stereo use.
Happy to help! The MkI will make a great stereo setup with a MkII.
So I did the "all inputs" to power amp test. Except a noticeable volume variation in between them, they seem to offer the same sound. I will try the 50w auxiliary in as a signal duplicator for a MkII stereo rig. I'll keep you posted.
I'm wondering; is there not a way to do [Compressor]->[Booster]->[Amp] in this order?
With original MkI Kat, yes, using FxFloorboard.
On MkII, not as of "yet", it may change if someone comes with a software such as FxFloorboard.
Quite an oversight by Boss (imo)... The more I look at considering the MkII the more sense it makes (for me and my purposes anway) to just stick with the MkI. I would think at some point FXFloorBoard will get updated to support MkII; will reconsider 'upgrading' then at that point I'm sure.
Some of the apps have already been updated for the mkii... I assume FX Floorboard will happen soon...
Then again what do I know.
You can check with Gumtown, the developer, to see what his plans are.
Katana Librarian for one... I tried another one that worked as well but don't remember the name. Can look again if you want...?
Just through Sourceforge?
He's on the gear page here. Send him a PM.
Likewise here too

Great news then so
There's your answer. Thanks, Elantric.
I think the Variation Clean voicing is a BIG improvement. I also like the instant access to 5 effect categories and that they are all footswitchable via the GAFC.
I got better trade in value for my K100 Mk1 combo then I thought possible so decided to go for the K100 Mk2 combo.
I live on the Clean and Crunch voicings and am getting some really nice sounds out of it.
Update: I just dialed in a nice Lead tone using Variation Brown voicing. It will be fun experimenting....
seems the mk1 will be getting software updates afterall.
