I'm currently waiting for a good PS-3 on Ebay, Craigslist, etc. I just had a question on how the octaves sound (just 1 octave up and 1 octave down, I don't think I'll be using the 2 octaves) compared to the Micro POG. Also, how is the bypass signal on all of the modes? I had a PS-5 and the bypass signal on the whammy mode sounded like there was a delay between me playing and my amp producing any sound...

no problem on the bypass signal(unlike the whammy mode on the ps-5), other than the usual boss 'tone suck' if that bothers you. if you're planning on using it as an simple octave pedal, up and/or down, you have to know that there is audible latency on the octave signal, unlike the micro pog...i think most would agree that the ps-3's strongest point is the reverse octave delay (mode7)--the shimmer mode, and whammy mode(with an exp. or peep pedal), although it also does a faux12 string, chorus, etc. .. i love mine--mode7 and whammy only

Micro POG is definitely superior for simple octave up/down purposes, it tracks better and feels a lot tighter. But the PS-3 is definitely adequate for My Iron Lung sort of things, mode 7 is great, and it can do a decent chorus as well.
