Bought Two Delay pedals today....

First, bought a 1984 DOD FX90 Analog Delay. But you guys wouldn't want to hear about a great sounding, American made analog delay that I picked up for $29...yowza. This sounds excellent. Reminds me of my old DM2.

Bought a V.2 MXR Carbon Copy...niiiiiice box. Reaaally nice delays and modulation. Jeepers...glad I didn't blow twice the cash on a Maxon 999.

I had a DOD FX90 that I bought in 87 or 88. Wish I still had it - great pedal! I think I paid $80 or so for it new, which seemed like a lot of money for a pedal back then.

Concur on the Carbon Copy as well....really, really nice analog delay for a very sweet price.

Well, the 999 has a lot longer delay times (I think) and is darker, more organic and has more headroom. I sold mine to fund an echoczar. I do have a carbon copy and it's great for the cost. I also have an fx-90 which I got for like $30 or so maybe 5 years ago. Awesome delay, but completely sucks tone.

Yes...I tweaked the mod and it sounds so nice. Adds a little plush to the delay.

I bought the version 1 Carbon Copy about a year and a half ago. What a nice pedal! Terrific analog delay w/ modulation for $150. Size of a pack of cigarettes too, and I agree about the paint job too--it's purty!

Mine just stopped working one day though, which I understand happened to just about the whole run (v. 1).

Good news is, Dunlop Manufacturing is repairing them for free, even when they're past warranty. I'm due to get mine back within a week they tell me. They're even paying the return shipping. That's customer service!
