Bouteek Guitars that are just..... Lifeless

    You plug it in and even with humbuckers ... no tone no life! thin sounding more like deadwood
    1. Flaxwood I demod one yesterday and just blah!!

    I don't even like the look of the photos of those, to be honest...

    But I've played a couple Tylers, a few Groshes, LOADS of Andersons, a Suhr and (gotta include it in this list) some masterbuilt Fender CS stuff.

    All great. I believe this is the golden age of guitar making right now.

    Have to agree on the Flaxwood, tried 3 of them no go for me at least!

    Flaxwoods are as far as you can get from boutique guitars conceptually. They're way closer to Fenders for the modern age.

    Completely different result for me - new to me Flaxwood Rautia is REALLY nice - very full tone...in tune all over the neck and exceptionally playable. I was surprised by how much I really like the guitar. Easy to practice unplugged as well. I'm officially a fan at this point.
