This report is stating it’s been “declared a knockdown”?
What does that mean - write off and demolish?

We were both typing at the same time.

What a small World.

Knock down means what’s left isn’t safe & needs to be demolished. Land will be cleared & then rebuilding etc. would take place.

I guess so, need to rebuild from scratch. They are not going to get around doing that for months, there will be insurance claims, checking the site, clearing, design new building, planning and building then tooling. All those people who has jobs there might be laid off. This will be a long time before it will be back up and running again.

This is just horrendous.
All that gear, people’s jobs during the uncertainty of Covid, the hardware/machinery/tooling.
Look the intensity of that fire in that news clip.
Mike Soldano’s legacy, all Friedman, Bogner, Tone King, Synergy.
This is a big deal man. Wow.

:(

Can't view the story for whatever reason but last time I saw a building get gutted like that in a fire the investors decided to cut bait on the whole show. Three years later the building is still just a facade and nothing else. Not sure what kinda building it is but them cement walled type of high ceiling factory/showroom/warehouse buildings can be put up pretty fast once the pad is ready. But....this ain't good in the near term.

Isn't Pete Thorn’s studio space in the same facility as Friedman’s operations?

This is awful, they employ a lot of people, and make a ton of stuff. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but just terrible news.
