No cable for me but i saw the reviews here. Perusing Menards video section, i picked up Season 1 just to check it out...yep, sucked in. I went back for all of them thru season 5, not cheap either.
    I'm due for reruns.:)

Yes, but they didn't have BrBa.
Btw, you got courses for the culturally deprived in your area?

I watched it for the first time a few months ago. Good stuff...great cast. The awards it won were well earned. The final season is just...damn.

I thought the plane crash was weird.

I still haven't seen all of the fifth season, but I won't watch it until I can buy the whole lot on DVD.

Breaking Bad was rather intense for me in the first few seasons, because I had a very complex girlfriend who was/is a methamphetamine addict. The line "You can never trust a drug addict" from Gus Fring to Walter White at the chicken shop rung deafening to me.

I hadn't seen it until last year at this time. Got the dvd collection and took my time (as much as I could) going through it. It's astoundingly good.

My S.O. and I binge watched BB and covered the whole series in less than a month. Great program.

Did the same thing with Bloodline, and it took about a week.

We are now doing the same with Sons of Anarchy. We've watched the first three seasons in ten days. That's an interesting one as well.

I find these series have much more impact when you can watch one show after another - without a week long or 6-month break in between. There is a lot to be said for continuity and no commercials/advertising.

Hank was my favorite character. A justice robot whom death alone may stop. A classic character type in literature. Great series.

Best television ever produced IMO. I've binge watched it all the way through three times and could easily go for a fourth. Each time, after finishing, I've come away with this sad little, hollow, just been punched in the gut feeling. Oddly comforting yet completely draining.

    SPOILER ALERT!

. just watched jane die again. WW did more than just watch her die. he shook jessie which caused her to fall from sideways to on her back. somehow i missed that little fact the first couple times i watched it.

She sealed her fate when she threatened WW w/ blackmail. He wanted her dead after that and her od'ing was very convenient for him.

True, but did you catch that he cried while watching her die?

Check out what the first letter of each episode from that season spells...

Great character acting. Thousands of internet tough guys on guitar forums have patted themselves on the shoulder for being authentic badasses compared to wimps like the Cousins....

Agreed, I binged BB in less than a year, and same with S.O.A., definitely better watching a couple/few episodes back to back.

Those shows grip you, reel you in, and don't let go.
