Hey guys, just came across this clip of a young english guy sitting in w/ Mason.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_X6zFczzIPs&feature=related

What a great fun vid. I just love how Brent is so open on stage, and lets the young guy do his thing. I wish all jams were this cool.
Brent always seems like the most decent bloke - super humble. there is a second vid from this session - working Man Blues, which is great too.
I love the positive vibe on these things, plus the young 'un has some good licks!!!

That was big fun - thanks!
Indeed very cool to see someone of Mason's (ridiculous) facility just lay back and be supportive.
No ego, and no need for it here...
Shows why these cats get the big bucks - musicality and play to the gig, first.

    That was kickass!
You know Brent can cut but he let the lad hold the stage.
The kid has pocket and an old school vibe.

    Thanks for the link!

Sol Philcox has a few vids on Youtube, good player. There is one where he gets a new King of Tone and does a nice review. I think hes a member here or it may be the Telecaster Discussion Page.

I have been conversing via email with Sol. I am a huge fan of his. He's a great guy, too, very humble and taking it all in stride, enjoying the ride and working hard at getting better. he deserves all the great things that are happening to him these days. i wish him the best!

Damn classy to see Brent letting the young guy tear it up on his own! Cool vid - thanks!

    Yeah...LOVE The Players.

And Brent could have put that kid's flame out...but he showed some restraint and support. Kudos to the band!
(Not taking anything away from Sol...wicked good player in his own right).

I think there may be more to it than 'just sitting in'. Apparently he's been spending a good amount of time with Brent, even hanging out at his house based on pics I saw. Definitely some good connections prior to landing in US of A.
