The funny part is that he probably is using a modeler. The cabs are just a facade on stage. How would you Know? You are hearing the PA. Your eyes would see ac30s and your brain would hear ac30s. Lol. Im sure lots of pros use them for consistency. The stage has its facade and everyone goes home smiling. You do know this right?

Friendly, informative, sarcastic, troll food and I’ll add slightly indifferent. :D But TGP is always good for pro gear drama. And the amp vs modeler issues goes away on the down beat. ;) I have no idea what Brian May uses, but if he was using a Kemper, I would totally get it. Just sayin. It would not alter my perception except to note another one bites the dust! Lol. You’re right, maybe more troll food than informative. Sorry.

For me personally though I love my Kemper. But I live in a world where it’s all good.

Brian and his dad built the guitar he used for much of his professional career
he had a highly developed ear that guided his early choices
what people often forget is that in the studio Brian often used an amp that John Deacon had built
if he thinks the Kemper does a good job then that is best for his purposes at this time.

Why are people continuing to say that "Brian uses the Kemper"? It was already clarified that he just played through some guy's Kemper.

    Read previous posts ffs.

    It's fake news.

Knopfler started using the Kemper and then he retired, so it's not a good sign

    1. If he WAS using a Kemper ... and I concede he probably isn't at least full time ... so what? His business. He owes paying customers Brian May guitar sounds, not glowing tubes.

    2. I'm a fan of a Beatles tribute band called the Fab Four. I think they're the best group of their type out there. If anyone of you have heard/seen them, you know they get legitimate, authentic Beatle/Vox guitar tone on stage. I've been backstage with them, and their Vox AC30 cabinets ARE dummies hiding the blue Vox ToneLabs.

Here’s my take on it; 99% of what you read on forums is total bull****.

    Thread delivers!!!

What a troll job. Maybe this a test thread for a “EVH uses Fractal now” to see if TGP can actually burst into flames.

He Kempered the lead vocalist, so this doesn’t surprise me at all.
