    His response:

I don't know either. Probably the same thing that caused you to conflate your head with your ass.

News isn't "News" anymore, it's about viewership and profile...they all want the ratings. I ditched cable and tried watching ABC News World Report with Diane Sawyer, it was like 7 mins of news and the rest was fluff stories...really sad. Now I get ALL my news from the internet and TGP Pub.

What network news or even cable or even radio anchor/reporter/talking head isn't a giant hat of ass? Their job is to promote garbage, push obscene agendas, fill the masses brains with mush and make $300-$400 million in the process.

After all the crap he's talked about other news people on other networks.

An incredible POS. Great Job, Bry.

Just the implication of dishonesty gets other people fired.

Wait a minute. He can't remember if he was, or was not, aboard a giant Chinook twin rotor helicopter that dropped hard from 100 feet because an enemy RPG took a piece out of the rear rotor?
He can't remember if he was in an air crash or not?

In Brian's words, he "misremembered" the event. Happens all the time. Kinda like misremembering buying something at Lowes when you really bought it at Home Depot. I remember when I "misremembered" jumping into the Potomac to save a bunch of people when their plane crashed. Turns out, I was actually a thousand miles away watching it on the news. Go figure. Just last Sunday, I was sure it was me jamming on stage with Katy Perry at the Superbowl. Come to find out it was Lenny Kravitz. Did I misremember that? I don't know. I would not have chosen to make that mistake.

I wonder if he received career promotions and advancement for using this lie on his reporting resume.

"misremembered". Every time I hear or read that word, I'm easily reminded of Roger Clemens making a comment about Andy Petite.

When I was in 10th grade, a kid I knew jumped off a small set of stairs, landed wrong, and suffered an open fracture of his femur. Right in front of me. It was bad. I told my mom.

Years later, I had no recollection of the event. My mom mentioned it to a girlfriend of mine, and she told me. It all came back to me. The ability of the mind to suppress or distort a memory amazed me when that happened. It seems incredible that such an event would escape me.

I do have another such event but I'm gonna have to plea the 5th on that. :D

All of that being the case, Brian Williams only fessed up when the chopper pilots confronted the issue. I think that may tell us the story.
