it is looking good..I noticed you put the bias pot to the bottom and added a switch...Is that for switching from 6l6 to 6v6?

Yep ... I actually made the decision during the build but while tricky I was able to get another hole in there w/o slinging metal eveywhere.

The 6V6@22w is how I plan on running it but it will also do 6L6@33w and both can have 4-8-16 ohm selections. Should be pretty sweet.

Looking good! Like your slide show format.

There's a 'tweaked' D-Lite schematic posted in the Dumble files section over at AmpGarage.com if you haven't already seen it or your kit isn't tweakeed already. Otherwise, worth a look - good stuff.

I know there's a lot of tweaks but I'm building it basically as designed since it's a first build. However, with guidance from the Brown Note guys, I am putting in the switch mentioned earlier allowing the change between 6L6 and 6V6 power tubes. I replaced the shielded wire with unshielded on the MASTER which seems to be becoming pretty standard.

Maybe I'll do more tweaks later. But I want to see how she sounds as designed first.

I've been following your build, thanks for sharing pics. I'm just a little bit behind you in progress. I'm going to build mine stock for now.

Finished mine a couple of months ago. Used the same soldering station, too.

How does it sound? Was this your first build?

I can only hope to be as organized as doveman.

Yes, this is my first build. I finished it today ... but there are still some things left to do before there will be sound.

    - Sleep on it ... double check everything ... tube socket pins, wires, control pot tabs, all the leads, make sure all solder points done, etc.
    - I need to bring it up with a 40w light bulb limiter and check a few things so I don't damage anything if I've made any mistakes
    - I'm missing 6 nuts for the boards ... I only have one on each board. Easy to fix but not done.
    - I'll add a few wire ties if everything's working OK to tidy things up a bit in the power supply area and under the contols.

    Here she is:

Pretty ... I think ... hope she works ... and is not plagued with noise or other problems. We'll see soon enough. :)

Finished it yesterday then built the 40w limiter to start it up and reviewed the process.

Slept on it last night ... will get out the old magnifying glass ... inspect it ... check against the schematic for errors ... look for pieces of solder ... vacuum it out again really good. Then we'll give a try.

    Here's what she looks like:

I'll put some wire ties on it in several plays after I've checked for noise. I still have one known problem ... I need 6 more bolts to hold the two boards on with ... only have one per board now. Not a big problem. :)

Came up first time today with no issues, no smoke, sounded great and little noise. I was extremely pleased with my FIRST BUILD! :)
Here's a picture show ... just click on the pix and see what I have assembled.

Later in the week ... there will be clips. I highly recommend the process. The support from both Brown Note and the guys on their forum was outstanding!

    :)
