1. The Gear Page is run by musicians for musicians. We listen, we learn and if we misstep we are not afraid to do the right thing. We proposed some changes to the Emporiums. Based on feedback from members, we have decided to not go ahead with those changes. However, it has also highlighted that we need some community input into what is working and what is not working for members here. Primarily focused on the Emporiums, we'd like input on your thoughts about TGP and how things work in the Emporiums for you and how you'd improve them. The discussion thread on the is here!

Help me on this guys. I know that the 45 has a "higher headroom", but what does that translate into? Also, is there any difference in tone between the two? And for each, what combo type sounds best for it? I've heard that the 35 is made for 1x12 and the 45 for 2x12. Owners, advise!

Higher headroom usually means bigger cleans, and cleans that stay clean at higher volumes. 45 watts is not a bone crushing amount, and I prefer that wattage in a 6L6 amplifier. Of course, if you're playing only in a recording studio or bedroom type affair...35 watts is plenty.

So in what territory is the Cowtipper 35 in terms of tone?

Blackface with bigger, tighter bottom end, sweeter treble, (less shrill) and better reverb.
