I have the chance of getting a Bruno UG 30 head what speakers would be the best for Blues /Rock sounds by the way this one is in the U.K so Celestians and Fane are on the cards

+1! I prefer the G12H30s, but Blues with the UG30 are really nice as well.

I use mine with a Blues and a GH1230. I used to have 2 Blues, but I like it better with the combination.

Personally, I like the G12H30s the best. My 3\10 eminence is fantastic though, and its really a toss up. I also have a 2\12 with Blues, and they sound good, but are my least favorite.
The amp kills no matter WHAT speakers you have though! :dude

The Celestion 20W pre-rolas. SPend the money and get 2. They just are so much clearer than anything else with the amp.

Has anyone tried a Red Fang? How about a Weber 50 watt ceramic Silver Bell(lighly doped according to Ted)?I've also tried a Wizard but had to send it back before it could break in because it developed a rattle even at lower volumes.
Both the Wizard (75w) and the ceramic Silver Bell(50w) are supposed to be higher power handling take offs on the G12H30(30w).
Does anyone have experience with any of these in the Bruno?
I was told the G12H30 might not make it in the UG30 which can put out about 38 watts. If anyone has had success with a single G12H30 in a combo(lower to medium volume with pedals for OD)without frying the Celestion I'd be much obliged to know.

:AOK Rmember to use the presence as a bit of a gain knob.
Crank the presence and adjust the treble for a gainier sound. Also, a T. Rex mudhoney SLAYS with the amp! :dude

I use a combination of a G12H30 and a Blue. I felt two Blues were too thin sounding...the G12 helps fill in the mids while the Blue maintains the Vox sparkle. I have played at least 3 different UG 30s and I felt the same about all three, Blues by themselves are not my favorite.

Never thought about Pre Rolas........which ones... and how do they sound with a UG30?

The amp with my combination (G12H 30 - Greenback) sounds jangley certainly not thin, but with a compressed air about it , still I havn't opened it up fully yet I'm going to take it to a Jam tonight so there will be a good trial for it with guy's playing a variety of styles and I can stand back and hear it under "fire"I will try this combination with the new cab if I go with a 2x12"
