When I place my Bruno UG30 on Standby, it send a medium pitch, modest volume shimmering sound through the cab that eventually diminishes to nothing after a few seconds. I find that the longer I play the amp, the louder the shimmer is when I put to stand by. Any help?

I would imagine that's the filter caps bleeding off their charge.

Thanks Paul, is that anything to be concerned with or a minor nuisance?

Well, it's normal for the sound to fade after switching back to standby.

The "shimmer" you describe seems a bit odd. I wonder where that's coming from.

Do you have a sound clip of that?
