And BTW, it was great being there in person yesterday afternoon with Jon C and my son, at Nats Park, for Bryce's 100th home run - a grand slam freaking bullet line drive over the right field wall - the first time in major league history anyone's 100th HR has been a grand slam.

    :)

It's a great day for a ball game; let's play two!

Looks like fun Jon. Glad you had a good time.

Bryce is a monster, no doubt.

I recently got a novelty red hat with white lettering myself, problem is I think to a casual observer the message might be misconstrued. That said, I dig your hat Jon, I am finally getting back into baseball after a long hiatus. My team (the Royals) were abysmal for so long I lost interest. I am a fair weather fan for sure, but it is fun to get back into it and have someone worth rooting for.

Can't get enough Bryce. Such a talent, works hard, makes a real difference in the beyond-baseball community, & says the right things. I've got a 7-year old daughter and a 5-year old son, and every time we read about or watch the Nats, I find myself feeling extremely jealous that they get to live in DC & be kids while Harper's in town, in his prime, setting a new standard for performance and fun.

    34, please sign a long-term deal w the Nats!!!

+1. Even though I loathe the Mets (ha), deGrom & Thor are pretty spectacular, and I can't imagine a better next decade as a fan in the NL East than to see Harper, M. A. Taylor and Trea Turner battling 20 times a year against the big arms in the Mets pen (Harvey & Matz included).

For real. It's great time to be a NL East baseball fan. Although I would put good money on Harvey not being in blue and orange by the end of next season. My guess is they will get a couple great young 'uns for him prior to 31 July 2017.

I would take a Mike Trout for Harvey and Legares trade :)

Now I get it, apologize, and change my reaction from "what a 'weed" to "I can empathize."

I'm looking forward to Phils/Nats series starting tonight. Minus a few hiccups in the beginning, our pitching as been pretty surprising - 2nd in the League in both WHIP and BAA. These next three games will give a better idea of how they really are.

And after each game, he reminds the crowd to spay and neuter their pets. *sad foghorn*

I'm jealous of you Jon! I was there for his first homer and hoped he would hit #100 in one of the games I've gone to but I missed it.

Welcome back to the fold, EP. There's room in the back on the bandwagon.

Just took the series from those snot-nosed Astros.

Those young guys from Texas continue to impress and will make noise again come playoff time.
