Builders that relic their hardware: stainless steel no?

    I have read somewere (can't remember) that stainless steel is difficult to age. Is this true?

    Yea.

    Use nickel hardware.
    Or gold.

    what stainless steel hardware are you referring to? i don't know of many guitar parts that are made of that aside from screws.

    If it is true stainless, I would not even go there. Chrome is a PITA, nickel is easiest.

    The terms are nickel plated, I think just the screws are stainless. The last one I reliced turned out fine.
