Wall hangers in the studio room. I don't like leaving guitars in cases. I have a large closet dedicated to empty cases.

It’s reassuring to know that accidents never happen to some people......Until they do.

My wife named mine "The Boom Boom Room". Instruments out and ready to play! I love solidstate amps because they are guilt-free to leave running all the time. Forget to turn it off? No biggie.

Just in case you don't know, be careful with lacquer finishes (Gibsons) with some wall hangers. Sadowsky makes some covers or I've used cloth fabric scraps wrapped around with good effect.

Here's an old picture of one corner of mine, there also drums setup, a few keyboards, a lounge area...

I went thru a Friedman phase...

Anyway, sorry I can't find a picture of the room, but I have about 7 guitars hanging and another 20 in floor racks to save space, and a couple stands right next to wear I sit to play, and the cases are in closets in the house.

I've had the most accidents while getting guitars out of cases and putting them back in.

It’s called living life...so get out there and do really crazy stuff, like leaving your guitar on a stand or hanger

You can't ever be in an auto accident or plane crash if you don’t travel in those vehicles, so by all means, DON'T DO IT!

Is that the way you guys live your entire lives?

Analogies are dangerous things, you have to be accurate with them.

I drive and fly in planes because I have to if I want to get around. I don't have to leave my guitar out. Do you feel like a dangerous bad-boy because you leave your guitar hanging around the room? Get over it.

You accept the risk, just don't deny the risk, that's worse than a bad analogy.

Start your own thread about how to best keep your guitars in cases. It’s irrelevant to this discussion as the OP doesn’t want to do that. Move on, people.

Almost all of my 20+ guitars are on display somewhere in the house (much to my gf's chagrin :D ). I feel great inspiration by looking at them every day.

My obsession with the ultimate basement music studio/pimp lounge is driving me to buy another house in the next year or two. The one I have now works well, but I want a larger one before I go hardcore with soundproof panels, isolation booth, full acoustic drum set, etc. :dude

    Oh, and subscribed. :munch

If a spec of dust falls on you, does it also prevent you from playing well? Power through it, man!

    :facepalm

The image of a giant Flying V reminded me of the spoiled "adult" kid in Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure playing in his giant pool/bathtub. I could see him having that in another room. :rotflmao
