Building a telecaster

I'm building a telecaster this month, I have the body, and am looking for a neck. I have seen an ESP neck I'd like to try, but it has a Floyd Rose locking nut which the body is not set up for. Will this cause a problem? As I'm not adding a Floyd Rose bridge.

I have an Ibanez RG with a FR system. It was too big of a hassle to mess with while playing live so I just took the locking pieces off of the nut and play it that way. It's probably not the most ideal nut without the locks but it works just fine for me. So I don't imagine it being much of an issue.

A good repair guy can rebuild the shelfed section, dowel the holes and install a real nut if you want. Just a matter of cash.

There are pre-made replacement nuts to replace the Floyd. Most any tech or luthier can install one or cut one himself.
