Never hear to much about this album or band on here.

To me this album is beautiful verging on the scope of some great 90's masterpieces in line with Siamese Dream or OK Computer. Am I wrong?

Yes, you're wrong. "Perfect From Now On" is the masterpiece, KILAS is merely great!

That's a great album. Wonderful use of guitar feedback on there and clever lyrics. It's one of my favorites.

KILAS is a really great album. Not to mention I have seen Doug Martsch do things on a guitar that were so amazing. Its great to see what is outside of the "box".

My favorite is actually There's Nothing Wrong With Love, but yeah Built To Spill is amazing. I saw them live a few years back and they covered "White Man in Hammersmith Palais" one of my all-time favorite songs. I was over the moon.

Really should be more talk about these guys here considering they're so guitar oriented. It's interesting that they seem to be a revolving door band that got jammed. Doug has some crazy pedal sounds too. As a 90's guitar band I'd put their instrumentation right up there with Pavement, Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr.

Easily one of my favorite albums of all time. I was actually just listening to it driving home through the city. Great band.

The "Live" CD is also great.

Randy Described Eternity, I Would Hurt a Fly, The Plan, and their cover of Cortez the Killer; muy excelente!

Beat me to it. Perhaps unfair but I think unconciously somwhere in my mind I compare everything to Perfect From Now On. I was one of the albums I forgot to put on the "Albums that changed your life" thread. They were awesome live. Marscht is a fantastic player.

One of my all time faves. Saw them live many times - extremely creative bunch that is pleasing to listen to on several levels. I played their stuff out so heavily I had to stop listening. Guess Ill go pull em out again. Thanks!

Definetley one of the best albums of the 90s. One of the best bands i've seen live also, they get all the sounds on the records.

    Great under-rated band.

Best album of theirs, and they're all great albums. Love the layered guitar textures in their music.
