I've been breaking lots of high e and b strings on my Callaham stainless TOM bridge -- right at the saddles. Is it possible that stainless could have developed a burr? Another possibility: I had the saddles slotted by my tech guy. I wonder if he didn't do a great job. I don't have the tools to do the job right myself. Would some vigorous rubbing with some 600 sandpaper possibly help? Or is the SS too hard? I have a gig coming up on Saturday and would prefer not to bust a string. I'm sure I will with the way things are going lately if I don't fix this.
