So I got a noisy cricket a while back. Then I got this great idea, I had an old practice amp that busted a while ago, so I gutted it and put the cricket inside it so I could have a grab and go battery combo. The only problem is now the cricket doesnt work. The amp will pass some sound, but it sounds terrible, there is a lot of static and buzz all the time. Also the volume is about a 1/4 what it was. I have checked the schematic a bunch of times and I cannot figure out what I did wrong. Is it possible with the components that are in these things that I got something too hot with my soldering Iron and I busted the chip or a cap?
