we have all gotten the email for a guitar or something we want to sell where the person first tells you how many issues there are with your thing then offers a low offer. Does this work? I am selling an old video game locally and I have two guys who keep using this tactic. If what I have is such a piece of crap why would you buy it? And if I do not think it is then why would I sell it to someone who starts off as trouble? The question, do lowball offers get taken more after the beat down or after someone is nice but offers half?
