    What's going on in bar 19 with the G7 arpeggio over Cm7?

    Thanks for your comment. It's a substitution technique some players use whereby they 'think' of the chord V over the chord I (i.e. G7 over Cmin in this case..) I actually don't play the b7 of G7 in that line from what I remember, and just use the G major triad instead (which gives me the 5th, maj7 and 9th of Cmin..) Just another colour for soloing really..but I like the sound so I added it in... :)

    Thanks. Is it a C Harmonic Minor starting on the 5th that we are aiming for here? I guess it's that 3rd of G7 that had me confused, since it's not diatonic to C minor.

    Yes, it could be C Melodic Minor too, but in this case I was thinking of C Harmonic Minor and the chord V7. Hope that makes sense?... :)
